SIGHTSEEING
The Bonavista Peninsula is a sight-seeing paradise. There is so much to see. Nature lovers can hike or take a boat tour or both to experience the natural beauty of this area! For hikers there are many trails that offer spectacular coastline views, including the famous Skerwink Trail.
For the adventurous and experienced hiker there are several challenging trails in the area. A number of boat tours operate in the area. If whale watching appeals, check out Sea of Whales Adventures
If history is your thing you’ll not want to miss the powerful and moving Sealers Memorial Statue, Monument and the Home from The Sea Sealers Interpretation Centre located in Elliston. Bonavista, site of Cabot’s landfall in 1497, offers many attractions, including the Ryan Premises a National Historic Site.

A number of galleries operate in the Trinity area often co-located with other attractions. Check out Mirabella. It’s an awesome artisan gift gallery. Dock Marina is a restaurant, craft shop and gallery under one roof.
The Two Whales Café and Restaurant offers more than excellent vegetarian fare, they also showcase local artists and offer musical events. In Bonavista you won’t want to miss the Tree Line Fine Art & Craft Shop for some unique and beautiful shopping.
Aunt Sarah’s Chocolate Shop located in Trinity offers a large variety of chocolate and sweet products. Their sister shop Sweet Rock Ice Cream Parlour located in Bonavista offer home made ice cream, some feature local ingredients.
